Member Features

Our club membership includes a wide range of ages, abilities and interests.  All share a love of aviation and reflect it in building and flying model airplanes and helicopters. Building model airplanes can range from constructing large scale models, warbirds from the World Wars or civilian scale replicas!  We utilize lightweight balsa wood, to many variations made from inexpensive plastic or foam materials.

Advances in electric flight offer safe, quiet flight with incredible power.  Many of our members still prefer nitro fuel engines, just like the old days!

Members fly scale models in the .40, .60, and quarter-scale sizes.  Helicopters too!

All aspects of the hobby can be challenging and creative. If you have an interest in aviation or are just plain curious about the hobby of building and the sport of flying model airplanes please don't hesitate to call for information.

Our club offers a free introductory lesson and flight on our equipment for first time fliers. This is a great way to introduce a father, child or grandchild to the hobby! We can also go the next step and provide complete instruction to those who want to go on and solo a model airplane.

If building or flying model airplanes or helicopters is not your main interest you are welcome to come and watch our membership do their thing anytime our field is open for operation.
