MAINTENANCE DAY MARCH 2010

Let's give a warm thank you to all the members ( and non-members) who showed up on a beautiful Saturday morning to make some needed improvements to field.  Working for just a few short hours, new safety fences were installed, the gravel parking lot was leveled and raked, the entrance road was repaired, and the runway was scraped to remove a lot of the clumps of grass from the approaches at both ends of the runway!  Special thanks to Mike Akers who made it happen, and to Terry Potter who brought out his tractor and donated his time!                                                                                                                                                 - -   Dave Anderson  Members participating:    John Shirron, Tom O, Carter Strader, Phil Strader, Luis Munoz, Stuart Hall, Mike Akers, Mike Ahlfors, Herb Riedlinger, Ted Atmore, Dave Anderson, and Lee Faller.  Non-members included Terry Potter, Rex Hansen, and Alex Hansen.

How many fliers does it take to supervise?  Mike E thinks it's funny as Mike A puts the blame on him.  Stuart is ambivalent, and Tom just looks cool standing by. . .
And one more flyer showed up somewhat. . . huh. . . stuffed??  How did he get that thing in there?  I didn't get his name, but if he flies as well as he can stuff a car, he should be pretty wild!  See what a new field will do. . . brings out all the folks hiding in the bushes!
