BYLAWS AND MEMBERSHIP
RULES
Enacted and effective as of: September
6, 2009
The Clark
County Radio Control Society ( CCRCS ), hereafter
called “The Club,” is a registered Washington
state non-profit corporation assembled to provide a common focus for members to
promote all aspects of model aviation through fellowship and exchange of
knowledge.
CCRCS BYLAWS
- CCRCS shall maintain a site, or
sites, for the use by members and guests and reciprocal members for the
purpose of flying radio controlled model aircraft.
- CCRCS shall support the national Academy of Model Aeronautics ( hereafter called “AMA” ) by being a charted AMA club
and abiding by all AMA applicable rules and regulations.
- All Club members will support and
abide by these Bylaws and Membership Rules as approved and published, and
will conform to the associated CCRCS “Field Safety Rules and Regulations,”
as published in separate documentation.
- The Club will hold regular
monthly meetings at 7:30 PM each second Wednesday of the month throughout
the year.
- The Club will by governed by a
President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. All club officers are elected for a
period of one year, by a vote of a majority of club members present at the
November meeting. Other appointed
positions will include the Contest Director (CD), Safety Officer (SO),
Public Relations Officer (PR), and Club Training Officer.
- The Club will also maintain a Board
of Directors (BOD) consisting of the currently elected club officers and
past office holders.
- The CCRCS Board of Directors will
be required to meet one time per year during the month of February to
finalize all yearly documents.
- Nominations for Club officers
shall be submitted during the October meeting with elections due be held
at the November meeting. New
officers shall be installed at the December Meeting.
- When proposed changes to club Bylaws
are finalized, the Club will mail a draft copy to all members, with a
request for remittance of individual preference. Bylaws may be changed by the affirmative
vote of 30% of currently registered club members (current as of the vote).
Final approval of changes will be
authorized by the total votes collected on voice vote of members attending
the meeting, and adding mail-in ballots of members not in attendance.
- Assessments for emergency funding
may be levied on the total membership when found necessary by a majority
vote of the members present a regularly scheduled meeting.
CCRCS MEMBERSHIP
RULES
- Every member in good standing
will be afforded all the benefits and privileges of the Club.
- Every member must hold a current
and valid AMA license and present proof of that membership upon request of
any member.
- All new members will be assessed
a $20.00 initiation fee at the time of joining the Club.
- All fees and yearly dues are
non-refundable.
- All members shall pay yearly dues
( to be found on the Club application ).
- Youth members (
under age 18 ), shall pay $1.00 in yearly fees.
- If annual dues of open membership
are paid in full prior to the end of February each year, a $5.00 discount
will apply.
- Dues for additional members in
the same household shall be half of regular amount and no initiation fee
shall be assessed.
- Paid membership and dues can be
given to any current officer or mailed to the treasurer.
- Non-flying Club members dues shall
be half the regular yearly amount.
- New members joining after the
March 31st deadline shall pay a prorated amount.
- Members not renewed by March 31st
shall be assessed an initiation fee as a new member.
- All members must submit a copy of
their current and valid AMA registration.
New or renewed membership forms will be kept on file with the
Treasurer.
