After much thought and consideration I
have decided to build my newly-found Great Planes F-15. I had
one of these in years past and it was a good flying plane and I
was excited to find another one for sale on Craig's List.
I am not sure how long ago Great Planes made this kit or how long it has been discontinued, but when the kit arrived it had a 1992 Product Catalog in the kit, so it may be close to 20 years old. The plane needs a good 46 size motor on it and your basic 4 channel set up for the radio. Our webmaster had asked me to another build thread showing some of the tricks that I might use when building. I have even been promised by Carter Strader that his next plane will be a kit, as he has now built 3 ARF's, so it would be my hope that this build thread would of value to Carter as well as anyone else that might read it. I can say this as we start, Great Planes has always supplied an instruction manual in their kits that makes it easy to build the plane as they lay it out step by step. So lets get started, shall we... |
